almost all bats do
batman. Haha!
As far as i know most bat lives in some kind of cave. But i could be wrong it would not be first time for that.
this is not ment to be a 'smart'answer, but as far as i know almost all bats here in the states live in subteranian locations. there are bats somewhere in thiland called flying foxes or fruit bats that roost in trees. the movie called the bridge on the river kwia was filmed there and had a lotof those kind of bats in it. i,m prettty sure of this, but i,m no authority
many bats roost in caves, while others..such as red bats in the genus lasiurus, and some fruit bats only roost in trees. Nowadays, there are not always caves available, so many bats roost in barns, garages, buildings, and other man-made objects. Here is a website telling you all the different bats and where they roost:

Except for all the bats living under Congress Street Bridge in Austin Texas most all reside in caves. Of course some want to be different and live in chimneys.I just remembered some hang out in trees.
