Answers:
get a puppy
Get a gecko. No housebreaking, will sit on your shoulder and is cheap
If you get a gerbil, hamster, guinea pig or rabbit when very young, and you handle them a lot, they will be friendly loveable little pets.
Some are very cute, too!
I think a Chihauhau would be perfect. They are small and love going places and being treated special. You said you are 15 %26 busy, so be sure that you are ready to take on the responsibility of ANY pet. What about goldfish? BUT..they are a JOB when you have to clean the aquarium and all that goes along with it, but, they are pretty to have around and cheap too. Plus if you are not familiar with it go to yahoo groups and look up something called FREECYCLE in your home area and close by surrounding areas. You will then have access to free items being offered by what else but other freecyclers (they even give away pets, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, goldfish, ferrets and the list goes on.) Those are some of the things I've seen local here in my area in GA. Good luck!
With a small budget and being busy I do not recommend a dog of any kind. They take a lot of time and money! There are daily walks 2-3 times a day, vet bills for vaccines, food and toys. The monkey is obviously a bad idea. I would recommend a rat if you want something cuddly, cute and non aggressive. I know its sounds weird. I have had pet rats and they are great! They do not bite, love to hang out on your shoulder. They require a minimum of care. A good cage, bedding, food and water. You will need to clean the cage at least once a week.
Having an animal is an expensive proposition. Since you have already indicated you don't want to spend money, don't get a pet because you will allow it to suffer rather than care for it.
No monkey, they will not be cuddley and sweet. No puppy if you are busy and not able to spend alot of time with him. Get something that will stay in a cage like a gerbil or hamster.
get a pet rat.just keep it smelling terrific !
Well first off if you are busy then a pet that requires alot of attention might not be the best thing for you. I am busy as well. I get to work about 8 leave at 7or 8. And I am usually traveling on the weekends and during the week. My pet of choice are fish. They require very little maintenance and the food to feed them is cheap!
Don't get a monkey they bite they are loud and they throw stuff around and make huge messes they are like 2 year old their whole life. Also if you are really busy I would get a cat not a dog cause they don't need as much attention. But really think about getting a pet before you get one because small dogs and cats can live for 15 years or longer are you still going to want this pet when you are 30? Also what about vet bills how are you going to pay for those?? So the best pet for you may be a hamster they don't live that long and they are not much work but if they get used to you they can be cute and cuddly. hope this helps and good luck!!
hamsters..fish
All animals take time and work. A dog has to be feed and walked (Picking up their messes). A puppy takes lots of time to train them first on paper and then outside. Cats are a little easier but require feeding and changing of the litter box. I would suggest a Guinea pig. They are friendly and like to be held you will have to check their water (Dish or tube) and food daily. Their tank or cage should have the bedding changed at least weekly. You can sometimes find people giving them away for very little money (Sometimes free) including their cage and water bottle. We have a leopard gecko These are easy to keep except for feeding (Live food, crickets). You can also buy parrots fairly cheaply and some times I have seen Cockatials being given away.

The key thing is that you must take time and decide how much time you will invest and for how long. I have a Blue Healer Dog that we got from anti-crulity about 8 years ago (the dog was about five years old when we got her). She was fully trained and would let us know when she had to go and readly trained to going in one spot of the yard. She would also not run away and if she wander away she would immediately return if you called her.

Remember a dog lives about 16 years, some lizards live 30 years and get 8 feet long. Rabbits require a lot of care and will smell if not washed or kept in a small enclosed area. Hamsters have about a 3 to 4 year lifespan and if not handled when young tend to bite. Some Birds live over 10 years. Our Guinea Pig is over six years old. Decide what pets you would like. Determine what you will do with them when you go on vacation, go to College. Research the lifespan and requirement to keeping the pet you want and then discuss this with your parents.

. Good Luck
get somethin you can chuck in the pot if it starts givin' you the shits.
Monkeys make terrible pets anyway! And I highly doubt your parents would allow that anyway.

If you are busy, you don't don't have the time that goes into training a dog.

If money is tight, you should not get a dog. Not only is their the initial adoption fee, but spaying/neutering, annual exams, food, and surprise expenses that come with owning a pet responsibly.

You sound like all you could handle is a hamster.
no dogs if your to busy. Maybe a fish or a hamster
a bunny
