what shade of lipstick would suit my brown gerbil best?

i think hes having a bit of a gender crisis and id like to help him
Answers:
I think Coral would be best for his coloring which is Fall and will "man" him up a bit as well as allowing him to "genderbender" without having to commit to either side. This way, either way your gerbil swings, he will be ready for ANY crisis that comes his way and can put his best paw forward!
Bright red makes a bold statement and it sounds like it's time for him to come out of the nest.
none
Your Gerbil?.your fish??.no shade cause it will come off if he lives in water.
Maybellene do a nice pink frosted lippy - that should work
Do you have a piccy so we can see what shade of brown??
If he is chocolate brown pillarbox red would be very dramatic!!
Chartreuse would be lovely for the critter --- it works for me.
that is so sad..are you sure it's not you having the gender crisis?
no break out the hairspray, puff up his fur and put some hot pink lipstick on him. maybe give him some bubble gum.. im totally into 80s gerbils.
Pink. It looks good with brown.
I'd go with pink for breast cancer awareness.
It depends on which one you wear when you eat it.
What about a nice peachy-orange? Even a fuschia pink. I always try to match my lipstick to my outfit, so make sure the colours don't clash.
I think that a light collar would be best to mach the fur. A nice pinkish collar for spicle occasions.
it really makes no difference because when you have glued his little feet to your scalextric car he will be going to fast to see clearly.
Try Goth Black, you can't tell the gender when they all look the same.
Ask him! My shadow tells me all the time when he wants to experiment! sent
i think rasberry purple would suit it best. But why lipstic your gerbil pu t it on your snake XD more fun! watch out for bites!
ok i love my pet too but why would you put lipstick on your gerbil? isn't that testing on an animal? illegal?
Mine went through the exact same thing! She is now called "The gerbil formerly known as George" and she looks absolutely fabulous in Revlon's Forever Scarlet. She's a Mongolian Gerbil, with large dark eyes and a long furry tail - maybe we can get the two of them together?
Thats well cruel and out of order putting lipstick on an animal! What are you thinking! Anyway everyone knows Gerbils only like nail varnish (to wear, eat and sniff) so give over with the lipstick alright?!
Ruby red always, or he'll look like a twat
Are you sure this gerbil is male. These little things are notoriously hard to sex.
But do gerbils have lips?
Just ask him what his favourite colour is, and get that colour lipstick for him.
none

lipstick may be poisonous to your gerbil
um i wouldn't risk it.
Putting lipstick on "HIM" will only confuse him more. But, if you must, a nice coral orange might work.

What saddle should I buy?

If I am looking at saddles and I show a hunter pony, would the Pessoa eq saddle be good only for equitation riders? If so what would be better?
Answers:
Pessoas are very nice, well balanced saddles. If you can afford one, it is a good choice. Make sure it fits both you and your pony, you may want to get a slightly larger flap that you can grow into (I'm assuming you're young). You may need to have a saddle flocker come and fit your pony if he's a difficult fit. I think any style that is comfortable for you would be good, it doesn't matter if it is an equitation saddle or not (though it may help keep you in a proper position).
Plan on spending some time finding a saddle that fits both you and your pony.

The best thing to do is have someone who sells saddles bring some out to the barn. They'll figure out which ones fits your pony best then they should be able to leave a couple of saddles with you to ride in a few times to see which one you like the best. The saddle has to fit you too. Each one will put you in a slightly different position. If you have a trainer have them help you and don't get too hung up what brand it is. Good fit is way more important. Good luck!
As long as its a Hunter saddle and it fits I don't think there's a problem.
if your a beginer you shod get a western saddel, if your a relly good rider you shod get a elingsh sadel
go to www.statelinetack.com there is great stuff. sorry i didnt answer your question.
Pessoas are very nice high quality saddles and I doubt you could go wrong buying one but stubbens are also eemly comfy, highly durable and are low maintenace I have one and I don' think I could have bought a better one.
it depends on the rider
I have a harry dabbs and highly recomend them!

what reasons would you give to save pandas from extinction??please help!?

im writing a persuasive report on trying to save the pandas. what reasons would you give? examples to back up the reasons would be nice
Answers:
The best and simplest reason is that pandas are part of the very, very complex "web of life" on our planet, and we really have no idea what impact their complete absence might have.

Sometimes a seemingly simple realtionship an organism has with the planet can turn out to be much more complicated then we thought; As an example, in 1933 Australia had a terrible problem with two species of beetle with no natural predators eating their crops, French鈥檚 Cane Beetle and the Greyback Cane Beetle, so they imported about 100 Cane Toads from Hawa'ai in the hopes they would eat the beetles.

Now, almost 80 years later, they still have a dreadful beetle problem and a Cane Toad problem too!

We do not have a good enough understanding of the interactions between all species to think that any changes we impose are "safe", and since the panda's plight is largely one that we may have caused, it makes the best sense to do our best to save them.
to keep the balance in the universe.. but humans are too stupid to notice ..
Why don't you try doing your own homework.
I would research either in books or online and see how much of their habitat is left, how many pandas are in the world. Do percentages compared to other animals. Find out when pandas were first introduced into the world so to say, I would make a statement saying that you want pandas to be around for future generations. So your kids and your grandkids would have a chance to see them and so on and so forth.
Do your own damn homework!
Just google extinct species and you will find a lot of resources. However, the best reason is just common sense.
my reason is :

If a lot of people is helping a litle bit to save the pandas why should not we do it?
i'm sorry i got stuck
They're CUTE, and I've met Ling Ling and Sing Sing!!
Well, you have different variables on thought here. Personally I think screw em, we can't understand so many things in this world, I dont see the pandas doing anything positive on the earthly scale. But then again someone may been thinking doing something bad (blow up a city perhaps). Sees a panda and gets all fuzzy inside and decides to not do it.
But the best answer I am sure you are looking for is the reason we should not allow panda's to go extinct is because we as the human race are superior in brain and ability, and for us to let a species die is careless of us. We in all honesty would be able to clone more panda's anyway in the next many years, plus on a quantam level the panda will always exist. maybe in another existance or elemental form, but never really gone. But still, for us to let a macroscopic, and known species die is just careless at this stage of mankinds sciences.

what reasons would you give for saving the pandas from extinction? please answer!?

give me as many ideas as you can think of
Answers:
if their gone they can effect the food chain. their one of the most cutest animals on earth. we need to keep as much animals on earth or we'll never have them in the future. look what happened to dinosaurs and sabertooths!
anything god made we should try to save!
Every time a creature is lost to this earth forever a piece of us goes with it. Though the effects may not be immediately known, it will change the face and scope of the planet.
Sure, it may just be evolution, but evolution of what? The planets death and destruction?
they form part of this earth, they deserve to live, they should be treated like human beings
I LOVE Pandas and it makes me sooooo sad that they're endangered. This is why:
1. They are ADORABLE!
2. They help make up the ecosystem.
Sorry, but I have no clue how to save them. Atleast, not by yourself. People need to stop cutting down too many trees and stop polluting.
So, that's my oppinion.
They are just plain CUTE! But they are still bears, and they are LAZY. Reminds me of my boyfriend cute, lazy, but can not dangerous!
The are different "bears" who are plant eating and not necessarily aggressive, they are extremely unique in appearance - most people on earth know what a panda looks like, the other answers mentioned like hurting the food chain and eco system, etc., plus, I believe there's something to be said about 'becoming extinct' - how can we as humans, who have come so far in science and medicine, yet harmed the earth so badly, let an animal or species just dissipate? It's scary to me and extremely sad!
Hi there, well they are unique for a start and it would be very sad if they became extinct,as the next generation wouldn't be able to see what wonderful animals they are,so many of us enjoy watching our animals on TV in wildlife programs,it would be awful if we didn't take care of them, as if we didn't many would become extinct
Animals are apart of the food chain. If we lose anymore than we already have, it'll effect the food chain and the human race could be effected also!

We should respect animals! Yes, we eat them as food, BUT WE SHOULD GIVE THEM RESPECT BECAUSE THEY CAME BEFORE US, AND WITHOUT THEM, THERE GOES THE MEAT WE NEED TO SURVIVE!
There cute!
you like made like 5 things for pandas.
You really care and thats good.
You can help pandas its easy you can donate or sign up for an event.
I care a lot about pandas two!

That's an easy question for me.. Miniature Dachshunds are by far my favorite pet. They are very small, sweet, highly intelligent and lovable creatures. They make great companions and they are the only canine breed that does not produce "doggie odor" at all. They have great personalities and are totally adorable! If you are looking for an indoor pet they are a great choice. They do need to be kept indoors though, not out.
I'll do this in order of acquisitions that now own me.Pot Belly Pig, blue heeler, 1 doxie, goat, 2nd doxie, 2 tom cats, 3rd doxie, 2 bunnies, 4th doxie. You can't count the chickens and turkeys we acquired by accident. More than half of our pets were rescue animals and are extra special.

What product can I use to whiten my horses mane?

He has a white mane and it has gotten yellowed. Normal soaps are not working and I'm afraid to try something harsher without some kind of advice.
Answers:
Believe it or not, bleach is safe to use on a horse's mane and tail, just not all over their body. If you don't wish to use bleach, I would suggest using a shampoo called 'Quik Silver' - it helps brighten and whiten the entire horse, including mane and tail.

Hope this helps
I used to have a paint and I used this stuff called cowboy magic. If that doesn't work then you should try to find any shampoo that is blue, I've found that those ones work the best. If it's that bad you could always cut it, it is the off season?
Try greenhawk on line, I don't know the exact website. You will have to search it. There is something I have used before, it's blue and works well. I don't know the name of it sorry.
there's several shampoo's on the market. The best one is purple but if you leave it on the maine for a few minutes it will make it a sparkly white! I use it on my show horses - I believe it;s called Quick- silver - it's in a purple and white bottle - ask someone at the the feed stores! I'm sure they'll know what it is.
bleach
Peroxyde is less strong than bleach. Try not to test anything that could harm your horse though. Check with a proffesional Vet.
I had a white mare and used quicksilver. It's purple, so go easy when you apply or you will have a purple tinge to his mane. It was fab on stains. My mare had a tail that got stained at the tips, and I would usually be able to get it very close to or completly white. It's not a harsh product either. Good luck!
white out
Bleach. Just guessing, but it worked on my hair.
It's a purple shampoo called Quik- Silver. If your horse is white, you can use it on the body too.
Hose him down and give him a shampoo .
hydrogen peroxide
shapoo or be careful if you use bleach.
Quick-Silver it works GREAT! Well worth the money! Good luck鈾?
This is one is safe and not harmful to the horse.
The company is called Fiebing.
The product is Fiebing's "Blue Frost" whitening shampoo and conditioner.
I just have to ask, what the hell is wrong with some of you people? You should never use bleach on a horse, whether it's in direct contact with the skin or not. Yes, bleach will whiten the mane and tail, but bleach is also nearly impossible to completely rinse out, even when followed with shampoo. Plus, bleach strips every ounce of oil from the hair and skin. It also is PURE CHEMICAL, which means that it is extremely likely to cause skin irritation, which can lead to bronchial irritation when the horse reaches back to bite at the irritated patch of skin. Honestly, if you don't have a good solution, don't answer the question. And if you're actually using bleach on your horse, give me a call so I can trace your phone number and report you to animal welfare.
external horse (house) paint. LOL

they make some stuff that will whitten people's hair that have the some problem use it.
What happened to that mane%26tail shampoo and condtioner that got advertised good for the people to use too? Like its a tan bottle with blue writing on it.

I doubt bleach is good for a horse! Bleach is made for white articles of clothing. I read my bleach plastic bottle. It says to use on in house items only. Never on animals.

Such cruelty some people are suggesting to use the bleach on your horse! Peroxide sound worser! Ain't natural the best way to go?

Like just braid it up!
whitening lotion
We used to use "Sun-In" on our horses' manes. It's a sun-activated hair product which came in a bright orange pump spray bottle. It was designed to lighten a person's hair very gently.

I'd be very cautious about using chlorine bleach. It'll make the mane even coarser and dull looking.
try using some clarifying shampoo, or better yet some bleach (?). to be safer, go to a veterinarian. he knows best for sure on what to use for your horse's mane. dont take chances.
Hydrogen peroxide
White Bright! Cowboy Magic works, too. Both are safe for your horse. Email me. I've got contacts that could assist with any further questions that you may have.
Try grooming chalk. We used it on our dogs and horses when prepping for shows. You can buy it at some grooming parlours or order it online from grooming and kennel supplies.
My parents used to own a border collie breeding kennel and we showed the dogs. We were envied for the beautiful white collars and feet of our dogs. Back then you could buy blue bag to put in the copper to keep the sheets white and bright. We used to put that in the rinse water when we bathed the dogs before a show.
All the dogs lived long happy lives and had no skin trouble. I don't know whether you can still get it, but it works beautifully.
use either Quick Silver or Absorbine Show Clean.
Quick Silver It really works goood!! It is shampoo and its really dark purple but dont leave it on to long or your house will turn purple too!! LOL
i have quicksilver it works good on my white cows
Quicksilver is used on a white horse's mane when they get yellowy.

What possesses some people to hurt animals, most especially baby animals?

I would truly appreciate an honest and non-judgmental answer as to why, not how they should be dealt with, as this is something we all already know. I'm looking on the basis of prevention, not punishment, as the perpetrator is himself a child.
Answers:
I've heard that kids who hurt animals may be experiencing some kind of trauma in their lives. This may turn into something bigger later on in life and the abuse could then move to a human target. If it were my child, I would talk to a councilor, child psychologist, or a psychiatrist to find the underlying root of the problem. He or she is obviously not listening to the people who tell him or her not to do this. Punishment probably won't fix this problem, just increase the intensity of the animal abuse and/or make it more frequent. Good luck.
They've often been abused, and see injuring other small people and creatures as a way to regain a sense of dominance. But they should be counseled on it ASAP, as research shows many hardcore criminals -- even serial killers -- start by torturing and killing animals.
They feel they can take advantage of the helpless - they would probably do the same thing to a baby or the elderly if they thought they could get by with it!@
Most of the one's I know of are cowards and losers. They want to be in control and show their cowardly strength over a small defensless animals.

Animal abusers are usually the ones that turn out to be serial killers.

I would kill an animal abuser before I would kill a child abuser, but heaven would be to place two of them together and kill both of them with a single shot. like what the Japanese Soldiers did to Americans they captured in WW2.
I think a lot of hurt is inside this child and he or she is taking it out on the animal. You should seek counseling for the child.
gently and lovingly but firmly explain that this is not
acceptable behavior. explain that the animal is very
delicate and must be handled gently the same as the
child was handled gently as a baby. also explain that
it is not good to cause pain with "after all you don't want
someone or something bigger than you to come along
and hurt you.."

I love cats, and prefer them in my busy lifestyle but sadly my hubby is allergic.
I had them while growing up. My favorites were my all white cat named Kennedy and the little part Hymilian named Nixon. LMAO! Yes I named them, I was 14! Hee hee. (Nix is still kicking too.. 11 years later!)

But in my house, we have a Guinea Pig named Kalli. She is perfect for our 5 year old, she loves her to death. She brushes her, we bought this (dorky!) little harness so she can "walk" her in the house, etc. that's her baby!
I have four dogs and three horses so I would say either
Mice! Seriously, some of my friends have them and they're so cute. ^_^ I've got a cat which is pretty cool, but mice are way better!
Buy the animal you like. I have four cockatiels, a dog, a cat, and a salamander. Soon I hope to have another dog and a horse. Only you can know what pet you want.

RATS!
THEY ARE SO COOL AND CAN EAT ALL HUMAN FOOD> THEY R REALLY SMART TOO>IM GETTING ONE THIS WEEK>THEY ARE REALLY CLEAN ASWELL%26lt; NO DISEASES!
Many people instantly react to the thought of pet rats with a disgusted look This is unfortunate and unfair, for rats can be entertaining, affectionate and clever pets. They're excellent first pets for children, great sole pets for adults who might prefer a dog but are in "no pets" housing, and easy-care pets for those who aren't home much or don't have the desire to clean up after a dog, cat or bird.
Still not convinced? Let go of everything you've ever thought about rats and consider the benefits with an open mind:
**Rats are social animals. Many small pets don't like being handled, but rats get used to socialization easily, and come to enjoy riding in pockets and on shoulders. They have a great outgoing personality.
**Rats are smart. Rats respond quickly to food-based training and seem to love to perform. With little effort, you can get them to perform tricks, and they know mealtime is here faster than any dog I've ever known.
**Rats are agile and sturdy. You'll appreciate the fleet-footedness of a rat. Unlike mice, rats can stand up to the handling.
**Rats are cute. Really. Think sleek, shiny fur, dark, glossy eyes and cute little ears. You say it's the tail that gets to you? Give a rat a break. If he just had a fluffy tail he'd be a squirrel, and people would give him nuts in the park.
**Did you know that rats come in oodles of colors and coat patterns? Think colors like silver mink, platinum, blue and chocolate, and markings like hooded (the head a different color than the body) or masked or patched.
**Rats are easy to keep. Get a cage sized for a larger pet, such as a guinea pig, and your rat will be content. Add bedding, a place for the animal to hide and sleep, a food dish, water bottle and some toys. (These can be freebies, such as the leftover core of a paper-towel roll, or small untreated blocks of wood.)
Your rat will happily eat the food manufactured for them, and will love you if you add fruit, nuts, vegetables and other "people food."
The downside of rats? They don't live all that long -- two to three years -- and they're prone to tumors. As with all small pets, cage changes must be frequent, otherwise the smell will become unpleasant, to you and your pets both.
Oh, and there's also those skinny, hairless tails. Even I had a problem with them at first. But these days, I'm finding rats so personable I hardly notice their tails at all.
just puppies.sorry
no pet alligators or crocs.
love dogsss!!

What pets are fairly easy to care for?

Something that is intelligent and that can be played with (ie not a fish), Im not a big fan of dogs myself.
Answers:
Cat
cats are your best bet
Rabbits are cool. They're a lot of work though. but you can train them.
RAT!! Easy keepes, very intelligent, and all have their own personalities.
I would say a cat. Most of them are very playful. They arent verry hard to take care of.
definately a cat they pretty much take care of them selves
Cats are fairly easy.and they can be outdoor if you don't want a litter box.

They are so independent and generally groom themselves fairly well, so you may just need to apply flea treatments once a month and maybe tip their claws (if they scratch on furniture).
Cats are easy, feed them, clean their litter box and most love to play.
not a fish? you stumped me. there are some dogs and cats though that you can get trained and potty taught.
Well, any pet is expensive.Cats and dogs, and larger animals are more so,while smaller creatures like guinea pigs and rabbits take less money.Obviously exotic animals are very, very expensive.I'd think you'd be best with a rabbit or guinea pig.
corn snakes
If you want a Purty Easy Pet to take care of you might consider a Finch they do not like to be held and they make pretty noises NO other bird would do well if you don't want to have to spend that much time on it i would also recomend fish or a reptle because they are not very likley to want to be held but you can if you please.
Lots of love
hamster?
cat
You say u are not a dog person but they are the easiest to care for and are playful. Cats dont do anything but lounge. Hampsters, Guinea Pigs, and Rabbits are easy to care for but you cant play with them really.
cats.
cats, they take care of themselves
a hamster all you have to do is clean the cage and feed it, you can play with it all you want.
You can play with hamsters all you want. Contrary to popular belief, if you keep the cage decent, they don't release awful smells, either.

If you want a reptile that's not too hard to care for and doesn't mind being handled, leopard geckos make cool pets. They have cool padding on their fingers and if you let them crawl on your shirt, they can walk straight up the fabric. They're a lot of fun.
rabbits
cats
dogs
fish
Cats would be your best bet. A little fresh water daily, some dry kibbles in a bowl in the morning and scoop the litter pan at night. That's about it, as long as they are house cats. Once you let them outside then you have all kinds of problems, fleas, disease, fights, etc. Also I STRONGLY suggest that they be spayed/neutered that will make much better pets.

What pet to get?

I was wondering what pet to get. I already have a dog and cat. I was thinking maybe a guinea pig or a ferret? How big of a cage would I need to get for one of those? How much do they cost? Do they need a lot of work? What can they do? Thanks.
Answers:
You would have to watch having a dog/cat around a guinea pig or ferret or bird. They would have to be in separate rooms if you let the other animals out. Ferrets are kinda expensive, around $100 for the ferret alone. They have to have wire cages with small spacing between the wires because they can easily slip through the bars on a larger cage, like a dog cage. They need food and play things also, so this could get expensive. The pigs are cheaper, you can get less expensive cages. They have a more varied diet and also like play things, but you can get a starter kit relatively cheap. Both animals will require attention and cage cleaning. The pigs might require less maintenance, especially if you get short haired ones. Long hairs need grooming or their fur gets nasty. Ferrets need to run free to get optimal exercise, but this can be difficult in a house or apartment as they can get into most anything and get hurt. They take more time and patience to give them the best care. Ferrets are playful and entertaining and can be affectionate--but they also can nip and get mean if not worked with. Pigs are gentle and like to play on their wheels and tunnels in their cages. They can like to be held.

Check out pet stores. Sometimes you can find pig cages at garage sales really cheap. Usually you will not find ferret cages, but you can try. Some shelters also take in ferrets and adopt them cheap, but you don't know how they have been handled. Hope this helps!
Actually, I think having a dog and cat is already great enough, since I couldn't even have a pet- sob! But if you really want another pet, a ferret will be a better choice as my friend who owns both a guinea pig and ferret says ferret are easier to keep, and they do not have a fussy appetite..lol
you should get a bird, they are really cool some one was trying to break in my house and my bird started making cop noises and scared him away. true story i love my bird he tells me he loves me to every day i leave for work.
Does your cat like to stalk and kill things? That could be a problem with getting a rodent like pet. They both need a good size cage and they both will smell. Ferrets have a strong odor even after you give them a bath. Guinea pigs have less odor to them. Both require daily feeding and general cleaning to the cage. Ferrets if let loose in the house will get into any place that is as big as a half dollar and will chew on electric cords and such. Guinea pigs don't do much but eat and squeak. Good luck.
U should have a guinea pig.It do not need a very big cage as i had kept it before ,if u don like a guinea pig try a rabbit, but it need a bigger cage.Guinea pig is quite cheap just maybe $10 to $30 will do ,as for rabbits they are more expensive as they are bigger. Both of these two animals need a lot of care, concern and work so take good care of them!they can do tricks if u teach them to ,but if not too bad ,they can only keep u company and eat sleep ,eat sleep. This is all i know about them hope u choose me as the best answer, plssssssss
Guinea pig Guinea pig I had a fat white short haired one named Wilbur. They just sit there. They don't bite. They never run off. I think mine was about $13.00, but granted that was in the early to mid 90s. Just get some cedar chips for the cage, a water dispensing bottle with a nossle and a metal ball. Then get guinea pig food. Keep it indoors. They are easy snake food. Wilbur was eaten by a snake under our shed outside when my mother wanted to put him the rabbit hatch one night. Keep her/him away from the dog.
parrot..
I have a guinea pig,it's very sweet and it doesn't cost a lot of time or money.you should buy one too.
I would say a guinea pig becaues ferrets cost alot of money. Guinea pigs make excellent pets. But i would have to say that you should keep more than one. Next tuesday i am getting to female guinea pigs.
if you decide to get a ferret you would be best off getting a male as females have problems with coming in to season and if they are not bread there insides can swell up and kill them so probably best with a guinea pig
get a kitten
Well, my personal preference is definately ferrets, but I don't know which would be best for you. Guinea pigs are much cheaper and easier to care for, but in my opinion ferrets are much more interesting and playful pets. It depends on if you have the time and energy to take care of a ferret, or if you want a pet that's less demanding. Personally, I don't like pets that think it's okay to poop all over the place. =) But if you do get a ferret, please do the research first, because there are a lot of homeless ferrets out there due to people who don't know how to care for them. And no, they don't stink unless you dont care for them properly. =)

Oh, and if you get a ferret, make sure it is altered, because there are major problems with either gender if you dont!
Get a hamster. They're cool, especially if you get a male and a female^^
A Ferret deffinately! tottally.. nutin else..i have no clue what it does.
ferrets can be really mean, so be careful if that is the pet you choose. If I was you I would also consider a rabbit (they can be litter box trained pretty easily) and the cost depends on how good of care you give her. Food ranges from $5-$25/mo depending on whether you get the healthiest food and what veges you give her, and litter for the litter box is about $10/mo. Getting nails trimmed about 4x a year totals $40/year. and thats about it (I dont keep mine caged, so I dont know what a cage would cost). They dont need a lot of work, but if you give rabbits attention you will notice that they have real personalities and can be very adventurous and charming and dont make any noise. Side note: my rabbits best friend is my parent's black lab, they are in love! its so cute.
If you have a cat DO NOT GET A FERRETT OR A CHINCHILLA! Both the ferrett and chinchilla need to be out an hour to two everyday to run free and exercise and cats see them as ummmm LUNCH! I have a 2 year old chinchilla I got as a baby and he is totally aweomse and I wouldnt trade him for anything! He is litter trained and has full run of the house! I have 2 little dogs- POMS and he gets along wonderful with dogs! He walks right up and takes dog biscuits from them! lol he is totally wonderful! But cats do NOT mix with ferretts or chinchillas! Someone will end up very hurt or dead!
I would recommend goldfish. They are beautiful cool animals. But if you have to choose between a ferret and guinea pig,get a guinea pig. They are cute and funny.btw:Ferrets bite.Be careful if you get one.

what pet sould I get?

Im 11 years old and my mom finally agreed that i could get a pet, but i dont know what kind to get, do you have any ideas on a pet that would be easy to take care of?
Answers:
Get a dog they will grow up with you and be your loyal best friend all through your difficult teenage years but only if your prepared to take it for a walk every day and spend a lot of time playing with it.

Dog's are a big responsibility and need feeding and training and walks and toilet training so only go for 1 if you are goin to give it a 100% commitment.

Remember the saying

A DOG IS FOR LIFE NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS
If its your own, a cat. They are easy to take care of and not as expensive as dogs. But if it's a family pet, then a dog.
fish, hamster, gerbil, if you mom lets you a mouse, cat, dog

I answered yours because i'm 11
A kitten, because they destroy hundreds every year and they are
really loving and fun. So many need a home and you would
be doing a great thing to adopt one.
It depends what you want..do you want a mammal? like a cat or dog? They are nice in the beginning but they need responsibility. If you want something easy to take care of and strange try triops!!
Well honey, in my opinion you should get a "Toy dog". Toy dogs are small breeds of dogs. Those kind of dogs are easy to raise and care. Or maybe you could get a cat or a hamster.
Well, for starters, do not get a hamster! They are so cute and cuddly and easy, but they just die too quickly. I had one and he broke my heart about 2 years later. But I am only a little older than you and I have two ferrets, a dog, and a hermit crab. For you, I'd suggest the hermie because they don't require much care and they are COOL! Good luck with your new pet, whatever it is! ANIMALS ROCK!!
Pets are BIG responsibilities, but I'm sure your mom has already told you that. I think a cat is a good idea. They are lovable, they don't need to be walked, and cleaning a littler box is pretty easy. The other good thing about a cat is that it doesn't always need your attention, so if your friends are over and you're playing, the cat won't follow you around trying to get your attention like a dog would.
I would highly recommend a miniature mixed breed dog of any kind of your choosing. For one, they always stay tiny, so they always seem like little puppies even when they are full grown. They are cute and cuddly and not quite as much to handle or take care of. But just remember, ALL animals are a BIG responsibility and you will need to take care of whatever you decide of get. A dog, you will need to watch when it needs to go out to the bathroom, when it needs fed. You need to bath it and most importantly, give it lots of LOVE! With a dog, you can teach it to do a lot of tricks and teach it to have good manners by rewarding it with treats. If you are good to your dog, it will be your loyal and best friend. I would definitely recommend a small dog at your age. You won't be disappointed.
a dog whould be the best they are easy to clean up after no small pets becuse you have to clean up after them two times a week
i would go for a dog at your age stay away from ferrets they arent the easiest to take care of
Dog- fun and playfull

oh and a horse lol- VERY fun-get 3, like i did.
Or heck, get 3 horses and a dog!! (like me!!)
o.k. ya, cat, dog, they are great but if your looking for an easy animal to take care of try a gecko. my leopard gecko was so easy. they poop maybe once a week. no pee. eat once a week or two. they are fun to handle, pet and just watch. easy, clean cage. i see nothing wrong with em'. he never bit, he was great. talk to someone at petsmart about em' . take care of him for 5-6 months and if you/your mom still feel you are responsible to get another pet go for a cat. have fun with your new friends.

What pet should i have?

a chow puppy%26lt;3 there extremly adorable and if you got one of them youd lear to get great responsibilty.. enjoy what ever ur choice is%26lt;3
Can't answer that.
How much time do you have to train a dog?
How much time are you at home?
How much time do you want to spend taking care of your pet?
Every animal has different needs, and you have to find the one
that fits your life style and personality.
Dogs want your attention, and need training.
Cats are independent.
Then there are reptiles, weasels, hamsters, Guinea pigs, turtles, birds (some you can teach to talk), etc, etc, etc,
Sorry if you have to ask probably none.
Chinese Crested
Cat
Mice
Leopard Gecko
Budgie / Parakeet

Animals are a life long commitment!
You need to get a veterinarian!
Learn everything you can about that kind of animal before you get him/her!
Make sure you have the time and money to take great care of your animal!
Hope this helps!
Get a little puppy. They are just so cute and playful.
A horse or a dog!!
guinea pig. or a dog but get a puppy to train it. cats are not that friendly
Kittens are fun and playful!
FISHIES!

or a pet rock is always awesome :]
A Border Collie Puppy! Their sooooo cute!!
You must get a rat, they're the best pet ever, you have to believe me, cau'se I've had a lot of pets. Remember to buy one that has been hand reared from birth, so they definately will not bite. They are also very clean, easy to look after, cheap to feed and very affecionate. I had six rats, but gave away two because I didn't have a big enough cage, so now I have four rats. They're very cute. Trust me, get a rat, and don't worry about diseases, domestic rats don't have any, unlike other pets. However, if you want a pet to get attached to for along time, you might not want a rat cause they only live for about 3 to 4 year, or maybe less.
A HORSE!! they are beautiful animals =) if not then get a cat
RATS RULE!
it depends on your housing and income, personality but im a dog lover good luck picking
a bunny rabbit. they are soo cute
Well by the looks of your a yahoo avater..You seem like a angry/frustrated kind of guy, So I don't think you have the patience for an animal.

What pet should I get?

This is my first pet. I know. Shocking. I am out for school at 8:00 and back at 3:00. I am allergic to cats. I can give it some excersise. I don't want a dominaint pet. I just want something that I can hold and have fun with and doesn't need to be cared much for.

A hamster! Or a Rat. Rats dont bite as much as hamsters
hamsters are easy and cheap to take care of - you can put it in its ball and play with it

you could also try a bunny or a guinea pig.
guinea pig
lizard
hamster
Cockatiel they are fun and don't need much.
You can hold them and teach them to sing songs
Every pet should be cared for.

Perhaps a Sloth would suit you much better. (Of course they are illegal to keep) So i suggest don't get one. Just my advice.
2 bad you are allergic to cats since they make great pets(don't care if you are home or not as long as they have food and litter) a Hamster would be good for a 1st pet.Easy to care for,you can play with it and even learn it little trick's.
Oh yeah?..
Take yourself a cactus you fracker!
That doesn't need to be CARED MUCH FOR!
I think you should get a hedgehog. Althoguh that depends what state you live in. Some places don't allow them. But if your's does, you can hold them and play with them but also they are fine in a good sized home that you can purchase or build yourself. So while you are at school you would not have to worry about it being bored without you.
Hamster, theyre like a new member of the family!
guinea pigs are hard to take care of.I had one.It was horrible. You should get a rabit!
Definitly not a dog. Dogs need attention and it sounds like you don't have the time for one. Your best bet is a bird or fish. You can't hold or excercise fish, but they are good listeners. Good luck.
I've heard that a Hedge Hog is easy to take care of as well as something that can be played with and held. I would do some searching first and then decided what you think would be best for your situation.
Hmm most dogs need a lot of attention and care (esp. puppies). Are you allergic to all kinds of cats or just long-haired? You could get a short-haired kitten and take some Claritin if you think your getting allergies. I say this because I have 2 kittens and am allergic to cats too. But havent had any problems with these two kitties, they are short haired.

Other pet options include: bunny, ferret (although I heard they are messy) thats all I can think of.
naked mole rat.
I have 2 pet domestic rats I got in a pet shop %26 they sleep all day %26 we play early in the morning %26 all evening. They are very lovable %26 go in a litter box in their cage.
it sounds like your seeking a dog
good luck in choosing!
Get a cat and a prescription for Zertek. They're easy to care for a affectionate.and very worth a runny nose every once in a while.
Get a huge, soft and cuddly soft toy instead. don't short-change the poor animal.

just get those caged little fcukers like a rabbit, gerbil, hamster etc. they dont need much attention and you can hold them also.

what pet should i get that wont cause bad things to my dad because he has allergies?

please help me! im 10 and i really want a pet. but my parents say that i can only get a pet if my dad is ok with it and dosnt start sneezing
Answers:
A Rex bunny. My son is allergic to animals, but the Rex fur is so fine, that it never bothered him they shed lightly 2x a year, and ours lived in the kitchen, used a litter box, and was a delightful pet. He learned his name and how to beg, and if we let him out, he went back to his cage to use the restroom. But if it is your pet, it is your responsibility, right? you have to clean the cage, and feed it, and love it. I am sure at 10 you can handle the work--good luck!!
umm i think nonallergenic dogs
FISH
Ask your father what pet he is NOT allergic to.
fish
Ur 10? Well then, a Niked Mole Rat might suffice, or even a Skink or Anole.I had An Anole once.Cute, fast, and very fragilish
It depends on what type of allergies your dad has. Some people like myself are allergic to cats but not dogs, Others are allergic to both. More info is needed to really give you an answer.
Tell your dad to take his medicine and get any pet you like.
Fish, for sure. But if you want something that you can interact with a bit more, tree frogs are great fun. I have horrible allergies and I've had both of those as pets.
The things you have to avoid are anything that has dander. Cats are usually the worst. Most dogs are a problem, although I had poodles when I was growing up and never showed any allergy to them. They don't really shed, so that's probably why it wasn't so bad.
Get a Schnoodle. It is a mix between a toy Poodle and a Schnauzer. They have hair, not fur, and no dander. They are basically Hypo-allergenic dogs. They are very sweet, good tempered, loyal, and very smart. They are also VERY CUTE!
It really depends on what your allergies are.

I'd recommend fish, or something maybe that you can keep outside. Hamsters or gerbils or mice if you're not afraid to play with those might work, too, if your dad isn't allergic to all animal fur. Hamsters are pretty easy to take care of (I had one when I was younger than you). Or if you're really into it you could try spiders or snakes, or even a lizard (again, pretty easy. I had one growing up). Maybe even a hermit crab. You could try a bird. Just look around at your local petstores for some ideas.
Maybe a hairless cat and if you can't find one try a pet rock there awesome!
LOL just kidding
poodles are great for people who are allergic. Get a toy poodle if you want something small.
Most people with pet allergies are allergic to the pet dander. Pets with short hair usually have less dander. You should probably get something small that isn't roaming throughout the house - a hamster, gerbil, etc. To be really safe, get a hairless critter, such as a turtle, iguana, fish, and so on.
take a look here for some ideas
Nobody is allergic to Poodles. If your dad is allergic to dogs he wont be with a poodle or a poodle mix like a schnoodle (i like these better). Ask him what exactly he is allergic to. He may be just with cats or cats with certain types of fur, I'm only allergic to cats with the really fluffy long fur. Maybe try a guine pig, hamster, rat, fish, or gerbal. Go to a pet store with your parents and see what they like! Good luck!
Try reptiles, amphibians or fish!!

What pet shop can i get a chinchilla from?

Yeah you didnt get any answer from the last qesution, look on the website,

I know there nice , after I hold a chinchilla I wish I had one of those
don't. they are just meaningless balls of fluff and most of them have anger management problems.
petco has them, but are over $200
wel you can get them from pets world in hull and the pet shop in rawcliff! there cheap as well!! good look ! x x
oh n they shud sell them ion pets world near you if you dont live near buy ! they usuall sell the same kind of pets and that ! x x
well i have seen them in 'pets at home'
theres some really cute ones at pets at home there gorgous there about 拢80 lucky you i want one there sooooooo cute good luck!
i've seen then at petsmart for about 200 dollars
Petco does carry them at times. Or look up in your area for a breeder, they might come to you more friendly, because they will have a lot more exposure to humans.
I would go on this site and look for a breeder here http://members.aol.com/sirchin/chininfo..

that is one of the best ways of finding one.
PetSmart
well let me just say this,i would not bother, they smell and they give a very nasty bite, not advisable with small children.
petsmarts. they always have one.

I LOVE THEM!!
dogs, by far.
That's a very broad question.

Tend to narrow it down?
That's an easy one: wife or girlfriend.
birds parrots especially
ferrets are the highest upkeep and the vet trips are far more expensive .I have had several dogs and they never cost as much as a ferret. It takes someone to own one ill ferret to know this.My husband and I have agreed to never have any more it hurts to bad and the bills get to high we have had three. We now just have our elderly dogs in wich never had bills that high
Dogs, especially those with longer hair.

what pet is perfect for a thirteen-year-old child?

Answers:
none they say they will take care of them. then all of a sudden everything else is more important.
gold fish
a pet rock
Thirteen yr olds are going to be more preoccupied with school, friends, puberty and they arnt going to have time nor the interst in taking care of a pet.
dog goes good on anyone but ya have to pay lot's of attention to it so i suggest u think about that
A puppy or kitten is always a perfect pet. at 13 a child is old enough to take responsibility for feeding playing with as well as walking a dog daily. If you are in a small place a rat would work just as well they are easily trained and take up very little space but are just as loving as puppies and kittys
GREAT DANE!! I HAVE AN 11 YEAR OLD SON AND 4 DANES! THEY ARE GREAT TOGETHER AND OSO SMART!! E-ME IF YOU WANT A PUP
I'm 13 and i have 3 ferrets. i clean there cage and play with them. they are really playful and need attition.
Leopard geckos. They're easily handled and really only need to be cared for once a week when the sand in their habitat is sifted, water refilled, humid box changed and the geckos are fed crickets. My 13-yo loves his!
A dog. A dog is EVERYONE'S best friend. :)
a cat or dog
Top 5 choices and reasons
1: Dog, it helps them learn disiplin and patients while training it
2: Cat, they're calm and they're great comfort when depresses and quiet and clean
3: Rabbit, nice cuddly, rabbits make everyone feel good
4: Skunk, they're mallow, disiplin and are VERY clean
5: Rat

It really depends on the personality, if the child is more layed back I would reccomend a cat or a skunk, if the child is rambunctious I would recomend the rat. If the child is patient and is the 4.0 GPA type I would reccomend a dog. If the child is lonly I would reccomend a rabbit.
A hampster or gerbil. My sister had hampster when we were around that age and we loved to play with that little guy. The cages can be annoying to clean, but it teaches good ethics. They're pretty cheap and watching them roll around the house in their hampster ball is pretty entertaining.
It really depends on the child. If they haven't had a pet before, you probably want to start with something with a little lower maintenance like a rat or even a cat. Cats are very independent. If your child shows he/she is committed to their daily care you could advance to a dog. Rats make good pets. But make sure you get one from a reputable pet shop or breeder who has handled them from birth. If they've done that, they will be very friendly little creatures.
A cat if the child likes cats or a dog if the child likes dogs. This also depends on where you live.
A hamster so when they lose interest in it you won't be stuck with cleaning the cage or feeding it because you can make it a chore unlike dogs or cats you'll get stuck with picking up after the dog and walking him or changing the litter box.
the perfect pet for a 13 yr old would be that 13 yr olds favorite animal
Ask the thirteen year old. They know best!
rats are amazing and intelligent animals. Best kept in pairs they are very social, smart and endearing. There are tons of colors, and varieties out there everything from dwarf to tailess. Also guinea pigs are a great pet and very social.

What pet is good for 3 yr old girl?

Answers:
The kind you're willing to take care of for at least 15 more years. :)
*Puppy
*Kitten
*Bunny
a puppy or a kitten
A stuffed Teddy Bear.
Kids that young are not good for pets.
A python
a bird. provided some cleans the cage.
Something that doesn't require that much attention.. Like a fish or something.
puppy
A goldfish,A rabbit,a hampster or a gerbil you decide.Nothing that will scare her and nothing too big that she cannot handle.
She is a bit young for a pet. But the parent can always have cat, they are great. The girls was also love it!
A cat or a small dog as long as she knows not to play in the litter box and that cats and dogs both need to be well-groomed.

Rabbits.no way. They kick and scratch. Not a good pet for a little one. I know because I own one.
A goldfish will be a good leason to the parents that a 3 year old isn't responsible enough to care for another being yet.
A cocker spaniel.
a rabbit. i would say a cat or dog but if shes not used to animals ur better off to start with a rabbit because kittens and puppies scratch. but i belive in having pets before kids so the kids will get used to them from day 1
Hamster or guinea pig - easy to look after - soft and gentle - make little squeaking noises which you daughter will love - easy to house and keep clean - cheap vet bills!
I think a cat is good. They are very self sufficient, yet need enough care to begin teaching compassion. They are great companions. They can be left alone during the day and be less likely to destroy things in the house, and they are quite adorable.
Dogs are great, but initially they take more time to house train etc, they have to be walked and are just more suitable for an older child. of course, three is pretty young and no matter what you decide, most of the responsibility of caring for the pet will be yours anyway. good luck.
Honestly goldfish!

Dogs, cats, etc. ALL will turn into ya' responsibility! At 3 yrs. young.Way to young for that kind of responsibility!

In essence.Who's really getting a pet!
Toddlers tend to be very rough with small animals. They don't know how to handle the animals with care yet and the animals sometimes suffer because of this. Wait until your child is old enough to understand how to handle an animal safely. Visit a petting zoo so she learns how to handle animals with love and care. When she's old enough, get a pet that will be appropriate for the whole family.
I would do small animal. I have gotten a simeeze. Cause I've had bad luck with the alley cats. They seems to want to breath ppl breath out of them. Start as a little kitten. They grow up together and have more fun. good luck
uh.hopefully she won't be the only one caring for it. 3 year olds would pull, poke, squish, and possibly even kill a pet if they were strong enough. a medium sized dog would be a good pet to have if you have smaller children. 3 years ago when my cousin was 4 he killed a gold fish and when he was about 5 he killed a hamster in a really gross way. your kid might not be as messed up, I am just giving you some instances.
I would try for a dog.Because they are pretty playful and most likely wont bite, just snuggle.Definately dont get a cat, they would scrath almost everything for self-defense.
Hey there. I have to say absolutely no no no to a bunny. I had gotten my son two and one of them bit him while he tried to pet it!! Blood everywhere, I got rid of them that day.
My kids have a kitten ( cat ) and a chihuahua. The kittens are good because if you get them at a young age with the child then the cat will be very patient of the lil one. They really don't require that much attention and they aren't too much work for you. (cleaning the litter box) The chihuahua isn't the best because they are more of a one person animal, and they are skiddish.
I would also suggest a turtle. One that doesn't snap of course. Kids love em, they are quite easy to care for, and need almost no attention. Plus, the kids can't really hurt them. My son (2) loved his turtle, it wouldn't bite him, and if he dropped it I didn't have to worry about it. They can't run fast and get away if the kid looses it. And they can survive over a month if it does get lost in your home. ( it'll show up eventually LOL ) Plus they aren't expensive, and easily replaced should something happen to it, after the child is attatched.
Not a fish, they wil want to take it out and play with it, and then it will die. Not a dog, too much responsibility for even a 7 yr old. It'll wind up being your dog. Not a hampster, they bite, and she'll loose it if she takes it out. Not a lizard, they are fragile, she could pull it's tail off and it could run away and it would die, because they need sustainance regularly. Not a bird, they are noisy messy, and she won't be able to play with it, ect..a turtle is perfect and just her speed. Tough enough to withstand her playing with it, slow enough to not get away, and easy to care for!
A turtle is my answer.
I agree with Einstein. 3 years old really is too young for a pet.

If anything, start off with a goldfish. Make sure to ask the fish specialist how to take care of it though - because it's not as easy and throwing him in a bowl of water and just feeding him.

- Buy a chemical called stress coat. It will declorinate the water. All tap water has clorine in it and this kills fish. So fill up the bowl (5 gallons at least please - one small goldfish, OR two guppies) and add the stress coat according to the directions.

- Each time you clean the bowl out you have to put stress coat in it.

- Goldfish are very dirty. If you have a tank/bowl without a filter you will need to take 50% of the water out weekly. If you have a filter two times to one times a month you will need to clean.

Do not get a turtle!! Turtles are horrible pets for anyone without a large ponds. Red ear sliders are very popular, esp when they are babies.. But they get big! And require a tank over the size of 100gallons at full grown. Plus they are DIRTY! You will need to buy large filters and clean the water very often. They also carry salamanila. A 3 year old will not understand to wash his hands everytime after holding his new pet.

Basically do not get anything he can hold. He does not have the abilities to know if he is hurting something yet. He doesn't know if he is squeezing too much.
a betta fish
much too young for the responsibility of a pet unless you are willing to monitor the pet and child 24/7.
Children can be cruel to pets without realizing it. Pets can retaliate in unpleasant ways and then the poor animal would end up being put down.
Please reconsider this.
A fish, or some sort of "watch me" pet. You can supervise her when she feeds it andcleaningout anaquirium isn't that hard for you. may I recomend a bette fish. Only one, they fight with eachother.
I agree with a fish. Read up on how to keep their tank clean and healthy.
Children that age LOVE to watch fish and can touch the outside of the aquarium, GENTLY. Let your little girl name her fish!

Other pets at this age are are a bit much for a child of 3 years. Children of that age do not know not to squeeze or drop pets, so it is most likely the pet would be injured, which is unfair to both the pet and the child.
Enjoy!
um..right now i'd say a gold fish. Wait 2 years and get her a rat!. they r so sweet and smart and if u get them from a reliable breeder NOT A PET STORE they won't bite or anything! and if the tail grosses u out, it's actually really cool when u see it in action!
a bunny is good pet :)
Honestly don't get a puppy or a kitten in tell she is at least five. A great first time pet would be a hamster or a dwarf hamster. They are neat to watch and you can get fun things to put in there cage. They can be stinky but if you keep the cage clean and provide fresh water everyday it should be no problem. Plus you can kind of start teaching her responsibility and she can help you clean the cage and change the water. I hope this helped you and good luck.

What pet food companies use animal experimentation?

I know Iams which is owned by Proctor %26 Gambel did or still do.
Also I've heard that the Japenese are getting rid of their surplus whale meat [ so much for scientific research!!] which companies are buying it,so I can avoid them. Thanks
Answers:
Like you, I'm not sure whether Iams still use animal experimentation - but the website exposing it still makes for awful reading.

http://www.uncaged.co.uk/iams.htm.
There is more information %26 details about the investigation into Iams (with video) on this site:
http://www.iamscruelty.com/

Iams are owned by Proctor %26 Gamble %26 they also make Eukanuba pet food.

The Uncaged website also says that Colgate %26 Palmolive also use unethical testing to produce their Hill's Science Diet.

However, though the following brands test on animals - the website doesn't actually claim that they test unethically:

Nestl茅 Purina/Friskies: Alpo, Bonio, Felix, Go Cat, Gourmet, Omega Complete, Proplan, Spillers, Vital Balance, Winalot.

Pedigree, Masterfoods (Mars Inc): Bounce, Cesar, Chappie, Frolic, James Wellbeloved, Katkins, Kitekat, Pal, Pedigree Chum, Royal Canin, Sheba, Techni-cal (US %26 Canada), Whiskas. Pedigree also manufacture Thomas rabbit food and Trill bird food.

I don't know about the Whale Meat purchasers . I wonder if the GreenPeace website would have any information about that?
Surely it would make more sense to test cat and dog food on.cats and dogs?? Surely it's hard to inject crunchy biscuit into eyeball?
There was something on the news this morning about that huge ship bringing goods into the UK from China %26 criticising us for not buying goods ethically. One of the products in the cargo was pet food %26 I, like you want to buy UK pet food from a known source but how do you go about it? When the 'bird flu' panick was going on I stopped buying any cat food with poultry in it, because most of it is foreign %26 apparently eating diseased birds is one way of contracting it. People thought I was mad but how do I know where the meat has been??
ARTHURS CAT FOOD. ONE WITH THE WHITE CAT. THEY STOLE THE CAT FROM THE OWNER, ILLEGALLY, TORE ITS TEETH OUT SO IT WOYULD HAVE TO PAW ITS FOOD OUT OF THE TIN. havent bought there produce ever.!!

try Yarrah Organic Petfood for your pets?
I have tried all sorts of food with my dogs.. one piece of advice I can give you is READ THE LABEL - if it has on it "animal derivative" then don't buy it. There are many ethical foods on the market - naturediet - is a wet food. Tried it but Borris went off it quickly - believe it or not he prefers dry food -

I now give both my dogs SALTERS which is made of human grade meat - totally fit for human consumption - even the salesman encourages you to try some - he ate some too - I didn't like it - tasted like Marmite - and I hate marmite! So as it is fit for humans it doesn't contain any nasties.

Anyway the dogs love it. And Taz who is 12 is walking better - the oils in it really help her arthritis.

I put two websites for you to browse through.
I use Burns good dry food for my dog.
