What should you dress a horse up for halloween?

She is a chesnut mare named dolly. My barn is having a halloween party for the horses

hmm.if she's the kind of chestnut i have (which is a bronzy color with a red shine in the light), i'd either get a used Arabian costume outfit (kind of pricey and hard to find), or you can make your own! (BEST CHOICE! LOL). we've done this same thing at our ranch and i've had many many ideas. some of which were really cheesy, like dying the horse a different color using jello. that was really fun and then you can choose a soft-material for a mask or something. my horse didnt even throw a fit when we were colorin her cuz she's a sucker for baths! :D with cold weather coming around though, make sure the costume doesnt interfere with her daily routine! HAVE FUN!

A Cow! LOL.
Make her tail stick out and say she is your broom stick and you dress up as a witch.
Or put some big ears on her and say she is a donkey.
or some whiskers and say she is a cat
or paint her black and leave some brown spots and say she is a doberman but you would have to tie her tail up to make it look short. I think the broom stick one is better tho because then you could ride her.
a princess. Get her a child size tiara and a cape around her shoulders. She will be beautiful.
I think that a great Halloween costume would be to dress up as a person from the 1700's. Get/Make a costume of your preference and have your horse as though she is your only transportation. Dress her up as a horse from the 1700's too.
My favorite horse costume I've ever used would be a unicorn. It's really easy to do, you find a cone, like a cotton candy cone, and wrap it in tin foil and then put glitter glue around your 'horn'. Then get a hole punch and punch a hole in each side of the cone and put a string through it large enough to tie onto a bridle or halter.
