what should i do for my husky?

my husky is so dirty i love him to death he is so obediant and as the funniest personalitity but i cannot give him one in the shower because his hair clogs the drain and it is hard for me to get it out and also how long should dogs nails be?
Answers:
I use a strainer for the shower drain, that just lift in and out to clean, and it allows air flow, so it drains better too. You can get them at department store or hardware stores..
the nails shouldn't click when they walk on a hard floor..
take him outside and use the hose and shampoo or take him to the groomerand get them to do it.
okay..get one of those sink things that catch the food so it doesn't go down the drain. use that in the tub.

or go do it outside.
Wal Mart sells a cheap plastic hair strainer made for tubs and showers. Depending on the size of your local Wal Mart you can usually find them in several sizes.
Barring that when weather permits bathe him out side with garden hose.
where do you live?if its a city or a warmer place you should take him to a groomer,i live in alaska there a lot of huskies up here obviously,so when it snows they just love it,and they roll around and play in it,cleans them up pretty good, you could probably just shave him to,lol,if its warm where you live he'll probably appreciate it
Take him to a groomer, they will not only wash him/flea rinse, etc but see to his nails as well
you can wash him outside until it gets below 40degrees or you can take him to the groomer. For his nails, if you can hear them on a hardwood floor, they are alittle too long. but be careful of the quick in the nail, it is a blood vessel that supplies the toes.
give him a bath outside with the hose. thats what i do.
