I think Coral would be best for his coloring which is Fall and will "man" him up a bit as well as allowing him to "genderbender" without having to commit to either side. This way, either way your gerbil swings, he will be ready for ANY crisis that comes his way and can put his best paw forward!

no break out the hairspray, puff up his fur and put some hot pink lipstick on him. maybe give him some bubble gum.. im totally into 80s gerbils.

What about a nice peachy-orange? Even a fuschia pink. I always try to match my lipstick to my outfit, so make sure the colours don't clash.
I think that a light collar would be best to mach the fur. A nice pinkish collar for spicle occasions.

Mine went through the exact same thing! She is now called "The gerbil formerly known as George" and she looks absolutely fabulous in Revlon's Forever Scarlet. She's a Mongolian Gerbil, with large dark eyes and a long furry tail - maybe we can get the two of them together?

Putting lipstick on "HIM" will only confuse him more. But, if you must, a nice coral orange might work.
