ferrets.. every year a rabies and distemper shot.. there prone to cancer, mine had to have surgery $813. they cost about $100 to buy.. cage was another $125.. numerous hammocks, toys and sleepers. $20 every 3 weeks for ferret food. $10 every 3 weeks for litter. they poop all the time.. constantly cleaning up after them.. they need baths every week or two. having 2 ferrets= Priceless..I WOULDN"T TRADE MINE FOR ANYTHING IN THE WORLD!! I LOVE THEM!!

ferrets are the highest upkeep and the vet trips are far more expensive .I have had several dogs and they never cost as much as a ferret.It takes someone to own one ill ferret to know this.My husband and I have agreed to never have any more it hurts to bad and the bills get to high we have had three.We now just have our elderly dogs in wich never had bills that high
